In late 2007, what was then “blognation” launched, with David heading the China blog, one of the more active blogs in the network. The network covered innovative tech, mobile, and startup news from geographies in Europe, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas.
David started blogging independently in early 2008 when the “blognation” network ended service due to management issues. His blogging and tweeting included a nationwide China tour with top tech pros from China and abroad in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, just after the Games in 2008.
2007 年底，當時 “blognation” 資訊網得以建成，馮琰負責撰寫中國方面資訊，並成為該網較為活躍博客之一。此網主要以來自歐洲、亞洲、大洋洲及美洲資訊科技、移動科技及新興企業為主要內容。

David also remained visible in tech-related coverage in the media, both in the Mac world and general tech. He took part in the “Foursquare Day” events in 2010, and spoke at the Chinese Blogger Conference.
Starting in the early 2010s, he started integrating his tech engagements, including running city transport-oriented wikis and blogs, into his rail engagements. In the mid-2020s, after the end of Covid lockdowns, he is returning to a separate focus on technology whilst keeping his other involvements active.
馮琰同樣參與資訊科技界媒體活動，包括蘋果界等方面。他於 2010 年參與北京「Foursquare Day」活動，並在中國網誌年會發表演講。
